The committee for solidarity with Syria in Sweden calls for lifting the sanctions imposed on the Syrian people

The committee for solidarity with Syria in Sweden as well as a number of Syrian and Arab expatriates and Swedish citizens on Saturday organized a stand in Stockholm to express solidarity with the Syrian people in the aftermath of the earthquake that hit Syria earlier this month.

In a statement, participants in the stand called for the lifting of the unilateral Western coercive measures imposed on Syria after the foreign-backed terrorist war that has targeted the country for more than 10 years ago.

They affirmed that carrying out relief operations in Syria after the devastating earthquake has become more difficult due to the Western sanctions that impede the delivery of aid aiming at alleviating the impacts of the earthquake.
