The General Establishment for Cinema has launched today, Thursday, the 26th of May 2022, a series of screenings for the feature film “The Last Breakfast,” directed by Abdel Latif Abdel Hamid, in the Syrian governorates.
The film, which has won the Best Screenplay Award at the 37th Alexandria Film Festival, presents deep human feelings about the loss of people and places due to the war, so that memory plays its game in bringing the missing and bringing them back to life in a way that is not without a magical atmosphere.
Information about the film: The writer and director Abdel Latif Abdel Hamid said: Wars do not end with cease-fire declarations. The creativity of the film’s artistic equivalent continues for a long time cause war is easy to start, difficult to end, impossible to forget.
The Director/Writer pointed out that in this film we find again the story of love in war, and perhaps the following sentence gives us the key to paying attention to his story: “The worst kind of departure is the one who left you and did not leave you.”
It is noteworthy that the film is produced by the General Establishment for Cinema for 2019 and stars Abdel Moneim Amayri – Kinda Hanna – Karam Al Shaarani – Rama Issa – Youssef Moqbel – Pedros Barsoumian – Muhammad Khawandi – Majid Issa.
