“The Church is a House of Love..a Joint March” Conference begins activities at the Conferences Palace in Damascus

Activities of the conference titled: “The Church is a House of Love.. A Common Journey” have been launched today at the Conferences Palace in Damascus. The Conference is being held by the Council of Heads of Catholic Churches for three days marking Tuesday, the 15th of March 2022.

In the presence of official and religious figures, the Conference began its sessions with a prayer for Syria, its resurrection, and its liberation from terrorism, and for peace in all parts of the world.

In his speech, Minister of Awqaf “Religious Trusts” Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Sattar Al-Sayed indicated that the Syrian family has suffered for years from the aggressive and terrorist war that has been supported by many countries that claim democracy and protection of human rights, while in fact they support terrorism and extremist ideology that disrespects religions and the teachings calling for love, peace. and human dignity.

The Minister of Awqaf indicated that the tools and agents of this terrorist war demolished mosques, churches and schools, kidnapped and killed Muslim and Christian scholars and clergymen, stressing that Syria, its people, its army and its leader have always been defenders of love and peace in the face of terrorism and its supporters, adding: “Syria is the cradle of heavenly laws, and from this land came light, love and faith. to engulf the world.”
