The Cabinet approves a document for the ministries’ work related to the conditions to tackle the Corona epidemic

 In implementation of the contents of President Bashar Al-Assad’s speech during his meeting with the governmental team on procedures to tackle the Corona epidemic, the Cabinet has approved a document of economic and service executive programs and procedures for the work of state ministries.

The document is related to the conditions of tackling the Corona epidemic in parallel with the restoration of economic and social activity to preserve health and safety and the actual partnership between citizen and government efforts in the face of the virus.

The Cabinet also approved programs related to improving the national economic and living conditions, mechanisms for controlling markets, securing basic materials smoothly, and the program of expanding social protection services, and setting the necessary periods of time to put each program into implementation.

During the weekly session chaired by the Prime Minister Eng. Imad Khamis on May 10th, all ministers were asked to prepare several integrated scenarios for each ministry to adapt to any possibilities for the development or spread of the virus.

The Cabinet decided to increase the number of tests for the largest number of segments that are likely to be infected with the virus, especially those returning from abroad, while continuing to take measures to uncover various cases in society.
