The British government acknowledges the death of two British mercenaries in Ukraine

London (ST): The British government has acknowledged the killing of two British mercenaries who were fighting alongside Ukrainian forces near the Solidar district of the Russian Donetsk People’s Republic.

TASS news agency quoted the British Foreign Office as saying in a statement: “ Christopher Perry and Andrew Bagcho were killed in Solidar in eastern Ukraine,” indicating that their presence was under the pretext of helping to evacuate civilians, while the Ukrainian police had previously talked about losing contact with Perry and Bagcho after they left the city of Kramatorsk and their departure to Solidar on the 6th of this month.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the liberation of Solidar was completed on the 12th of January, while Russian sources announced on the 11th that the body of one of the two Britons was found.
