The Brazilian Ambassador in Damascus underlines the importance of restoring trade exchange with Syria to its previous era

Damascus (ST): The Brazilian ambassador in Damascus, Fabio Vaz Petaluca, stressed the necessity of activating the Syrian-Brazilian Business Council and strengthening the relations between the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside and the Arab-Brazilian Chamber, in addition to the importance of restoring trade exchange between Syria and Brazil to its previous era.

 

During his visit to the Damascus and its Countryside Chamber of Industry and his meeting with the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Ambassador Petaluka expressed his country’s readiness to contribute to the reconstruction by identifying what the next stage needs of heavy industries and materials for reconstruction, calling on Syrian businessmen and industrialists to learn about the Brazilian market and the modern technical developments being witnessed by the Brazilian industry. 

For his part, the head of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Samer Al-Debs, stressed the necessity of holding a virtual meeting that includes businessmen from the two countries to raise all the obstacles and problems facing the Syrian industrialist and importer, such as shipping, export and import issues.
