A Pakistani plane carrying assistance for those affected by the earthquake arrived at Damascus International Airport.
The Pakistani Ambassador to Syria, Shahid Akhter, said: This plane carries 4 tons of foodstuffs, medicine and children supplies.He indicated that the assistance will continue, as the fund allocated by Pakistan for the relief of those affected by the earthquake witnessed a great turnout from the Pakistani people due to the good quantities that have been collected and so a ship loaded with thousands of tons of foodstuffs will be sent soon to the port of Latakia.
Akhter pointed out that the Pakistani medical and relief rescue teams finished their work for the provinces affected by the earthquake, and left for Pakistan after completing their mission to assist the Syrians in relief operations.
