The Army General Command takes precautionary measures against Coronavirus

 The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces has taken several precautionary measures to prevent the possible spread of coronavirus in Syria, given the fact that the novel virus is posing a threat to the entire world.

The measures are part of the Command’s duties to protect the health of the Syrian soldiers and to maintain the immunity of the homeland and citizens against any danger or threat.

Several bulletines containing preventive instructions were issued aiming to preserve the safty of servicemen at their work and residence places, the command said in a statement on Saturday.

  Several procedures were also taken to prevent any infections with coronavirus among the army personnel, including limiting gatherings and crowds at their residence places and their military formations and halting military sport activities, the command said, noting the importance of using gloves and medical masks.

Military hospitals were also put on high alert to provide necessary health care to possible infection cases in all Syrian provinces, the command added, reiterating that the Syrian army is always ready to confront any danger threatening the homeland and citizens’ security.
