The army establishes control over new areas in several provinces

Provinces – The army advanced in areas in Daraa city and Lattakia province on Friday and continued operations elsewhere in the country, inflicting more losses and casualties upon the terrorists with its units are targeting their hideouts and vehicles, SANA reported.

Daraa

An army unit clashed Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorists on many axes in Daraa al-Mahatta neighborhood in Daraa city.

The clashes ended up with the army units establishing control over 8 buildings blocks in the neighborhood and killing a number of the terrorists.

Members of the engineering units later combed the buildings and dismantled dozens of explosive devices earlier planted by terrorists.

Lattakia

Army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established control over al-Rahmalia and al-Khidr hills in the northern countryside of Lattakia after heavy clashes.

Army units eliminated the latest terrorists’ sites in the two hills and members of engineering units dismantled the explosive devices which were planted in the area.

Aleppo

Army units destroyed a number of vehicles and hideouts for ISIS terrorists in Akoula and the silos of Rasm al-Abd in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.

In Aleppo city, army units destroyed Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists’ positions in the neighborhoods of al-Ramouseh, Bustan al-Basha, al-Sheikh Bakr, Bani Zaid, al-Rashidin and al-Ameriyeh.

An army unit inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in personnel and equipment in operations against their hideouts and gatherings in al-Mansoura village in the western countryside of Aleppo province, and destroyed arms and weapons for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Ameriyeh village on the southeastern outskirts of Aleppo city.

Another army unit killed a number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in Zitan village, 16 km south of Aleppo city.

Homs

The Syrian Air Force destroyed command centers and vehicles belonging to ISIS to the west of al-Qariatin, al-Hazm al-Abyad and to the north of Jabal al-Ramila in Homs countryside.
