The army destroys ammunition depot and radio-controlled aircrafts for terrorists

Provinces – Units of the army and armed forces continued on Wednesday operations against the terrorist groups across the country, eliminating scores of their members and destroying their positions and vehicles, SANA reported.

Deir Ezzor

Scores of ISIS terrorists were killed and injured after the army units targeted their gatherings and movement axes in different areas  in Deir Ezzor province.

 

The army units bombarded ISIS positions in the neighborhoods of al- Huweiqa, al-Rushidiyeh, and al-Ommal in the city, killing and injuring a number of terrorists and destroying an ammunition depot in al-Huweiqa neighborhood.

SANA added that the army targeted more ISIS positions and movement axes on al-Husseiniyeh road, at al- Halabbiyeh roundabout and the 7th km site and in the villages of Jadid al-Okeidat and al-Bugheiliyeh and Muhassan city in the countryside of the rovince, leaving many terrorists dead or injured and a number of their vehicles destroyed.

Daraa

An army unit downed 10 radio-controlled aircrafts before arriving in Daraa city, including explosive-rigged ones that were launched by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists from al-Nueimeh town in the eastern countryside of Daraa towards safe neighborhoods in Daraa city.

A military source said Wednesday that another army unit destroyed a gathering of vehicles belonging to the terrorist organizations to the west of the roundabout of Um al-Mayazen town, about 10 km east of Daraa city.

In Daraa al-Balad area, an army unit destroyed one of the terrorists’ positions, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others.

Terrorists Shukri Mohammad Abazaid, Munif Helmi al-Qowaider and Mohammad Awad Zein al-Akrad, were identified among the dead, according to the source.
