Army General Command Urges Gunmen to Handover Their Weapons, Seek Reconciliation

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces has called on gunmen to handover their weapons to authorities and seek settling their legal status.

In a statement, of which SANA got a copy on Sunday, urged the people in Daraa, Eastern Ghouta and Aleppo countryside to accelerate reconciliation in order to restore their normal life as done in some other provinces in the country.

The command reiterated the need that all gunmen should lay down their weapon and try immediately to settle their legal status.

Several areas in the Syrian provinces of Damascus countryside and Homs witnessed national reconciliation cases according to which many gunmen turned themselves and their weapons in to competent authorities. Following reconciliation, the government ordered rehabilitating the infrastructure and facilities damaged by the terrorist takfiri organizations’ attacks against these areas.
