The Armenian President accepting the credentials of Ambassador Arisyan: Our relations with Syria are strong and solid

Yerevan (ST): The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Syria to the Republic of Armenia, Dr. Nora Arisyan, presented her credentials to Armenian President Vahakn Khachaturian.

The Armenian President praised the strong relations between the two friendly countries, Syria and Armenia, which are based on solid historical foundations, expressing his confidence that this appointment will contribute to strengthening the friendship relations between Syria and Armenia.

The Armenian president considered that the appointment of an ambassador to Syria of Armenian origin indicates the depth of the historical relations between the two countries, expressing his readiness to do everything possible to deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in various fields that benefit the two friendly countries and peoples.

He also affirmed the love of the Armenian people to Syria, expressing gratitude to Syria for embracing the Armenians, survivors of the genocide committed against them by the Ottomans.

In turn, Ambassador Arisyan expressed her pride in representing the Syrian Arab Republic in Armenia and conveyed the greetings of President Bashar al-Assad to the President of the Republic of Armenia, stressing that she will make every effort possible to develop and strengthen bilateral relations for the benefit of the two friendly peoples and countries, especially since this appointment coincides with the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
