The Armenian Catholicos discusses with Ambassador Ibrahim the friendship relations between Syria and Armenia
On July 3rd, the All-Armenian Catholicos Karikin II and Syria’s ambassador to the Republic of Armenia, Muhammad Haj Ibrahim, discussed the friendship relations between the two countries and ways to develop them to rebuild what terrorism destroyed in Syria.
During a meeting which was held at the headquarters of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Yerevan and in the presence of the Archbishop of the Armenian Archdiocese in Damascus Archbishop Armach Nalbandian, Karikin II said that Syria always occupies a place in his prayers.
Karikin II expressed his hope that the Syrians will be able in the near future to overcome the consequences of the terrorist war against Syria.
Karikin II promised to make every effort to push the Armenian investors and the displaced Syrians in particular to establish investment projects in Syria for its reconstruction after the destructive war that it was exposed to.
Karikin II pointed to the positive impression he had after his visit to Syria in 2009, hoping that the Syrian people would be able to rebuild Syria and build the future after the country’s victory over terrorism and the restoration of security and peace to it.
For his part, the Syrian ambassador expressed thanks to His Holiness for his sincere stances and feelings towards Syria and the Syrian people.
