The Arab Parliament holds meetings of its general committees in Cairo with the participation of members of the People’s Assembly

The current Arab and regional situations and challenges facing the Arab States, were the main topics discussed at the meetings of the general committees of the Arab Parliament held yesterday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, with the participation of members of the People’s Assembly.

Wahid al-Zaal, a member of the Syrian people’s Assembly, said in a statement to SANA correspondent in Cairo: “during the meeting of the Economic Committee, many topics were discussed that represent the Arab efforts to solve economic crises, as we seek to develop relations with all Arab countries so that there is an economic dimension reflected on the Arab situation and the Arab nation in general.”

In turn, Ahmed Saleh Ibrahim, a member of the Syrian People’s Assembly, said in a similar statement: “the sessions of general meetings started today and I participated in the Political and National Security Committee. We have made proposals on the Arab issue in general and the Syrian issue in particular, and we have agreed on recommendations to put forward at the plenary session of the parliament for adoption in a working paper.”

In a similar statement, Ghada Ibrahim, a member of the Syrian people’s Assembly, said: “I participated in the work of the Social Committee, where we discussed the study of the Arab Strategy for volunteering and the role of parliaments in this area, as well as how to protect community values, a draft law to combat bullying and the most important items related to the Social Affairs Committee, as approved by Arab presidents at the Arab Summit recently”.

“The meetings in the Arab Parliament have a great role in coordinating what matters to the Arab nation, and a communication link between the Arab parliaments and the Arab Parliament, as well as with regional and international parliaments to defend our Just Arab issues, especially the Palestinian issue, and talk about the war of extermination led by the Zionist entity, which must be stopped and realize the rights of the Palestinian people to establish a Palestinian state,” said Sheikh Jaber Al-Kharfan, a member of the Syrian people’s Assembly, pointing to the change in Western public opinion currently, which has a role in exposing the crimes of genocide committed by the Zionist entity.
