Beirut (ST): The General Secretariat of the Arab Lawyers Union condemned the Israeli aggression on Syrian territory and its continued violation of Lebanese airspace and sovereignty.
In a statement distributed in Beirut today, the Secretary-General of the Union, Makkawi Benaissa, said, “The Union condemns the Israeli aggression against Syria and the Israeli enemy’s violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty and its flight at low altitudes near Beirut airport, which posed a threat to civil aviation and innocent citizens, and a clear violation of United Nations resolution 1701 represented in strengthening Lebanon’s security and sovereignty.
The statement added that the aggressive practices of the occupation against sovereign Arab countries confirm that it is a rogue entity against the resolutions of international legitimacy, and the United Nations and the international community must put an end to the abuses of the Israeli occupation, which practices international terrorism without punishment or little deterrent.
