The 5th  Forum of Syrian Tribes, Clans kicks off in Homs

HOMS, SEP.14, (ST)-Today, the activities of the 5th  Forum of Syrian Tribes, Clans and national elites kicked off in Homs, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

In their speeches, the tribal sheikhs and their representatives in the governorates stressed the national unity of all Syrians and their support for the Syrian Arab Army, stressing that the tribes will remain committed to their pledge of loyalty to the homeland and defending it until the achievement of victory and the elimination  of the last terrorist.

Tribal sheikhs denounced the repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian lands, which come after the failure of enemy agents to achieve their terrorist endeavors and fragmentation projects.

At the conclusion of the forum, the participants, including tribal notables and tribal sheikhs, issued a statement in which they affirmed their keenness to defend the dignity, pride and sovereignty of the Syrian state, based on the principle of national responsibility that falls on the shoulders of the Syrian tribes, stressing their rootedness in the Syrian land and its unity behind the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad and the Arab Army, who is the  guarantor of the country’s pride and its defender.

The participants denounced the illegal foreign presence in all its forms on Syrian territory and its ongoing practices, especially the theft of the country’s wealth, which belongs to the Syrian people. They expressed their complete rejection of attempts at division under any name, stressing that the clans and tribes will remain the popular support under the banner of the Syrian Arab Army, and denouncing the miserable sabotage attempts carried out by the separatist “SDF” militia and others.

For his part, the Governor of Homs, Nomir Makhlouf, pointed out that today’s meeting of the tribes proves their absolute rejection of the presence of the occupation and its tools on Syrian lands and their adherence to the unity of the homeland and support for the Syrian army and people, expressing his confidence that today’s meeting will achieve the purpose for which it was held in emphasizing Complete national unity and rejection of all forms of division.

More than 10,000 people plus notables and tribal sheikhs in Syria and some Arab countries are taking part in the activity, which is being held in the municipal stadium in Homs.
