The 54th Algiers International Fair will kick off tomorrow with Syria’s participation

Algeria, (ST) – With the participation of Syria, the activities of the 54th Algiers International Fair will start tomorrow at the Exhibition Palace in the Algerian capital, and it will continue until the 25th of this June.

Director of the Authority for Support and Development of Local Production and Exports, Thaer Fayyad said in a statement to SANA reporter that the Syrian participation is organized by the Authority and the General Organization for International Fairs in cooperation with the regional office of the Arab Exporters and Importers Union in Damascus. He referred to the distinguished bilateral relations that link Syria and Algeria.

Fayyad noted the importance of the Algerian market for Syrian products, as this market constitute a major destination for Syrian exports, especially textile products. He added that Algiers International Fair is one of the most important international exhibitions held in North Africa, pointing out that the fair is also a destination for exhibitors and interested parties from European and African countries.

Fayyad pointed out that the area of the Syrian pavilion is 180 square meters, an increase of 100 meters compared to the previous year 2022. 20 companies from various textile, clothing, chemical, and household equipment specialties, will participate in the event.

Syria participated in the 53rd edition of the Algiers International Fair with the aim of promoting the national industry in foreign markets and opening new markets for it. The products were exhibited within a pavilion of 81 square meters and with the participation of 9 companies.

The Syrian pavilion witnessed huge turnout by visitors due to the great demand for Syrian goods in the Algerian markets.
