The 41st Fajr International Film Festival kicks off in Tehran with Syria’s participation

TEHRAN, (ST) – Syria is taking part in the activities of the 41st Fajr International Film Festival, which began on Wednesday in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The Director of the festival, Mojtaba Amini, stated that 578 films have been registered on the festival’s website, and out of this number, the advisory board found 26 works from 25 countries.

He pointed out that the enemies of his country tried to disturb the peace of this cinematic event, but that their attempts failed after the wide participation from inside and outside the country was achieved.

For his part, the Director of Public Relations for the festival, Masoud Najafi, referred to the statistics regarding the sale of tickets in the festival to see the participating works, and that they amounted to more than 6.5 thousand tickets in the first two hours of selling tickets.
