The 40th session of the Council of Arab Ministers for Housing and Reconstruction begins today in Tripoli

Tripoli (ST) – With the participation of Syria, the fortieth session of the Council of Arab Ministers for Housing and Reconstruction and the fifth Council of Arab Ministers for Housing and Reconstruction will kick off today in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

The Syrian delegation includes the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Suhail Abdel Latif, the Deputy Minister Marie-Claire Al-Tali, and the Assistant Director of the General Company for Engineering Studies, Nawras Watfa.

The Council and Forum is being held under the chairmanship of the Libyan Minister of Housing and Construction, Bou Bakr Al-Ghawi, under the title “Localizing Sustainable Development Goals for Reconstruction and Confronting Disasters.”

Arab housing ministers and representatives of regional organizations and institutions participate in the Forum, which is accompanied by a special exhibition, and includes bilateral and group discussions.

The Council aims to develop cooperation and coordinate efforts between Arab countries in the field of housing and construction, exchange research, legislation, scientific and practical experiences, and technical cooperation in establishing technical and vocational training centers in Arab countries that wish to do so.
