The 3rd International Artist Omar Hamdi’s Forum for Fine Arts kick off in Hasakeh

Hasakeh (ST)_ The activities of the third International Artist Omar Hamdi’s Forum for Fine Art kicked off at the Arab Cultural Center in Hasakeh.

The opening ceremony included the opening of an exhibition of fine art in which artists from the province participated in thirty paintings whose purposes varied between artistic formation, portrait, heritage, nature and life scenes from the countryside of Hasakeh.

 

An artistic activity that combined music and painting was also held within the forum, in which the artist Yahya Abdel-Jabbar participated in playing beautiful melodies on the flute. At the same time, the artist Issa Al-Nahar drew a traditional artistic painting inspired by the occasion.

The Director of Culture, Abdul Rahman al-Sayed, said in a statement that the forum comes to celebrate and honor an artist from the countryside of Hasakeh, which is rich in creativity and beauty, who challenged his reality and carried the concerns of his country on his shoulders to become one of the pillars of plastic art in the world, referring that the importance  of the forum in the midst of a fierce war targeting the Syrian identity.

Al-Sayed pointed out that the artists of the governorate expressed their love for the creative artist Omar Hamdi, through the exhibition and the participating artworks, stressing that the Ministry of Culture, as part of its plans to support cultural activity in the governorate, will implement a musical forum in honor of the artist Youssef Isho during the next month and hold the “Aqour” competition for literary creativity in addition to continuing to implement education and rehabilitation projects and support technical talents for different age groups.
