The 3rd exhibition of Syrian sculptors at the Blue House Gallery reflects the richness of visual heritage
The diversity of styles, materials and themes distinguish the art works displayed at the third Syrian Sculptors Exhibition held at the Blue House Gallery in Damascus.
The event, which was held with the participation of 24 male and female sculptors, constitutes a meeting between several generations, creating a state of visual richness in an ancient Damascene heritage space.
Regarding his participation, the sculptor Mustafa Ali told SANA, “ I participate in this event through the sculpture “Man and Woman” or “Lovers” made of durable bronze material, to indicate eternity. This relationship is a symbol of eternity and the continuation of life.”
The sculptor, Ayman Hamira, expressed his pride in participating in the exhibition, which brings together many important names in the art of sculpture in Syria, where he participates with a copper sculpture that simulates human feelings of pain, and it is one of a work that consists of seven sculptures.
As for the artist Nujoud Al-Shomari, she participates with a stone sculpture that mimics the story of “Cain and Abel” and expresses the symbolism of good and evil, and the pain experienced by human conditions, including rifts and gaps.
Raydan Munther’s the “Rat” sculpture came to address a message which is man and art can extract beauty from ugliness.
