The participants in the 39th annual general conference of Doctors Syndicate at Al-Sham Hotel in Damascus discussed ways to develop the profession.
The conference, which was held on Thursday under the slogan (With science and work, we advance our union, medical, social and political performance), discussed issues aiming to strengthen the services provided to doctors.
Engineer Huda Al-Homsi, member of the Central Command, Head of the Office of Popular Organizations and Professional Syndicates said: “Syria is one of the leading countries in the medical field, and in Syria the first university in the Arab world was opened, where the most famous and important doctors at the global level graduated”.
Dr. Talal al- Sharif told Syria times that “the importance of this conference is to gather doctors from all of Syria and motivate them to work productively”.
Dr. Monzer Sheikh Al- Hadadin said “that the importance of doctors’ conferences depended on the decisions that would serve the patient and doctor at the same time”.
Dr. Bashar Al-Haj Ali, on his part, said: “our Syrian Doctors Syndicate discussed general issues that interest the doctors and the general health care. There is coordination between the ministry of health and Medical Syndicate to develop the medical work. There are many medical problems that were solved during this conference”.
In her turn, Dr Masara Jumaa saw that the conference was comprehensive and for all medical matters that aimed to develop medical and scientific sectors, and it is a good opportunity to discuss all matters.
Dr. Maen Daba, said that “the annual medical conference is a good place to discuss the problems that doctors are facing and ways to solve them”.
At the end of the conference, a number of doctors were honored.
