The 10th Syrian National Show Championship and the Emirates World Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses launched in Damascus
DAMASCUS, SEP.21, (ST)-Yesterday, the 10th Syrian National Show Championship and the Emirates World Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses were launched on the grounds of the Saif Al-Sham Equestrian Club in Damascus, amid the presence of a large audience of fans and enthusiasts of the sport of authenticity and beauty.
The opening ceremony of the camel show, organized by the Syrian Association for Purebred Arabian Horses, in cooperation with the Saif al-Sham Equestrian Club in the Damascus countryside and a number of concerned parties, included artistic paintings that embody the nobility of Arabian horses, rooted deep in history.
Some 95 horses participate in the national show, which is dedicated to pure Syrian Arabian horses, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
The agency added that 98 horses for the Emirates Cup participate in the activity, noting that all horses are registered in the approved stud books for Arabian horse lineages, and the competition includes 10 categories for colts, fillies, mares, and horses.
The association organized the 9th show championship in 2022, while the 8th show was organized in 2019 after the 7th edition that took place in 2018. The association organized 6 shows before 2011.
