Texas sues Biden administration over memo on freezing deportation of illegal immigrants

The US Texas State filed a lawsuit against the administration of US President Joe Biden over an official memo on freezing the deportation of illegal immigrants.

The lawsuit  was filed two days after Biden’s certification.

It said that on its first day, Biden’s administration cancelled immigration laws made by the Congress and suspended the deportations of illegal immigrants who were scheduled to be deported according to these laws.

” By doing so, the US administration ignores the basic constitutional principles and violates its pledge for cooperation with Texas in eliminating concerns about implementing the immigrants laws”, the lawsuit explained.

It pointed out that “this illegal step will immediately cause harm to Texas, a harm that won’t be fixed if these laws are not enforced”.
