Terrorists Mortar Attacks Kill at Least 7 Civilians in Daheyet Harasta and Al- Yarmouk Camp

PROVINCES, (ST)_Foreign-backed terrorist groups have pressed ahead with firing shells on urban areas nationwide, the official news agency says.

Today, the terrorists fired two shells on Daheyet Harasta in Damascus countryside killing at least 3 civilians and leaving 5 others, including 3 children, wounded.

A police Command source told the official agency that the first shell landed in al-Jazera D3 in al-Daheyeh where 3 civilians were martyred and two others, including a woman, wounded.

While the second shell landed at al-Daheyeh square leaving 3 children wounded and damages to several cars at the scene.

Last Friday, four shells hit the same area causing material damages to buildings and cars without casualties.

Detonation of explosive device in Mazzeh

Another terrorist attack took place when an explosive device, attached to a car parked near ‘al-Houda’ Mosque in al-Mazeh area in the capital [Damascus], detonated causing damages to five cars in the scene.

No one was hurt, according to local media.

Missile kills woman in Aleppo

However, in northern Aleppo province, a missile –fired by terrorists- hit a home in al-Forqan quarter killing a woman and leaving two girls wounded.

Since the capture of Yabroud city by the army units, the terrorist have reportedly escalated their mortar attacks on urban areas across the country.

4 Palestinian refugees martyred 

In another development, at least four Palestinian refugees were martyred and other dozens wounded by a mortar attack on al-Yarmouk Camp.

Anwar Raja, official at the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine- General Command (PELP-GC), clarified that the mortar shell was fired by the terrorists, who are capturing al-Rejeh square in the heart of the camp.

In a press release, Raja said: “the armed groups that capture the camp, opened fire and launched shells on a group of civilians at al-Rejeh square during food aid distribution causing martyrdom of 4 civilians and wounding others.”

It is worthy to note that the armed terrorist groups and terrorist from al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘ Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant’ hinder all initiatives and deals that aim at ending crisis in the camp and abort all efforts to enter humanitarian aid to it.
