PROVINCES,(ST)_At least 13 civilians have been martyred and 56 others wounded in terrorist attacks in Damascus and its countryside, Homs and Der Ezzour provinces, the official news agency reports.
The agency quoted a Police Command source as saying today that two shells- fired by terrorists- landed in the entry of Jaramana city outside Damascus killing 4 civilians and leaving 10 others wounded.
“Two children, aged eight and ten, plus a woman were among those who were wounded,” the source confirmed.
It added that another civilian was martyred when four shells- fired by terrorists- hit Souq al-Hal [Vegetable market] in al-Zablatani area in Damascus.
At least 10 civilians were also wounded in the mortar fire which caused material damages to several cars at the scene.
On March 11th, almost 2 civilians were martyred and 6 others wounded when a shell- launched by terrorists- hit the same area.
In another mortar fire in Homs city, at least 5 civilians were martyred and 25 others wounded when 4 shells hit al-Haj Atef square in al-Mahatta quarter and the surrounding of al-Safir Hotel in al-Insha’at quarter.
Explosive device kills 3
While in Der Ezzour province, about 3 civilians were martyred and 10 other wounded by detonation of an explosive device.
The explosive device was planted by terrorists on a road and it was detonated when a mini-bus was passing, a source at the province declared.
Last night, the foreign-backed terrorists exploded two car bombs in Homs city and outside Damascus killing 6 civilians and leaving 26 others wounded.
They also fired shells on several urban areas in the capital [Damascus ].
Over the past two years, the armed terrorists groups have fired hundreds of shells on urban areas nationwide killing hundreds of civilians.
