Terrorists Make Archaeological Excavations in Afrin to Smuggle Antiquities to Turkey

ALEPPO- Local sources revealed that terrorist groups are carrying out large-scale archaeological excavations in the farmlands and hills of Afrin city and its surroundings searching for antiques under supervision of Turkish regime authorities, according to SANA.

The terrorist groups positioned in Afrin city and its surroundings are currently digging in some sites and cemeteries, especially near Tal Janders and Prophet Huri site (Khoros ) in search for archaeological finds and treasures of gold, then to smuggle them to Turkey.

The sources indicated that some terrorist groups are using modern drilling tools and bulldozers sent to them through the Turkish territory under the supervision and facilitation of Erdogan regime’s authorities, a scenario similar to that one carried out by the terrorist groups when they looted thousands of factories and workshops in Aleppo and Idleb and then they were smuggled to Turkey.
