Terrorists Kill Two Civilians by Mortar Attack on Sport Club in Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_Foreign-backed terrorists killed at least two civilians by mortar attack on al-Qassa’a quarter in the capital [Damascus], a police command source declared on Thursday.

The source was quoted on the official news agency (SANA) as citing that several shells hit the ‘al-Thawra’ Sport Club near al-Zahrawi Hospital in al-Qassa’a quarter in Damascus where at least two civilians were martyred and 12 others wounded.

Last night, nine civilians- including two children- were martyred by terrorist attacks in Damascus and Hama provinces.

10 shells hit Damascus

Some 10 shells struck quarters of Bab Sharqi, al-Mojtahed, al-Qemareyeh and al-Mazra’a in Damascus, killing eight civilians and wounding 20 others.

Four other civilians where wounded by mortar attacks on al-Kabbas and Jaramana quarters in Damascus countryside, according to the official agency.

Two shells hit the said quarters.

Jamaraya town’s Mayor assassinated

In the same province [Damascus Countryside], terrorists assassinated Mokhtar [Mayor] of Jamaraya town, Mr. Ibrahim Kriker, by shooting him dead at his office in al-Hama town. 

While in Hama province, terrorists detonated an explosive device they had planted on the main road linking Ma’ar al-Sh’hour and Hama.

“The terrorists blasted the explosive device – by remote control-as a car was passing by”, a police Command in Hama said, confirming that the blast killed a civilian and wounded another one.
