DAMASCUS, COUNTRYSIDE, (ST)- Terrorist takfiri groups in the Damascus countryside town of Madaya yesterday evening opened fire on cars that belong the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC). The cars, which were carrying a team representing the two organizations, were exposed to fire shooting while trying to enter the town to evacuate some urgent health cases and their families, a source on ground told SANA.
According to the source, the attack caused damage to the car of the coordinator and the doctor who were due to supervise the operation and led to the delay of the humanitarian process for hours. Later the team resumed their mission and managed to evacuate the patients.
Over the past weeks, 85 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to the people of Madaya entered the town where terrorist takfiri groups commit horrible acts against the locals, attack aid convoys and capture the humanitarian aid.
