Terrorists Fire Shell on Election Gathering in Daraa Province

DARAA,(ST)_Foreign-backed terrorists have fired a shell on an election gathering in southern Daraa province, killing and injuring several civilians, according to the official news agency.

The agency reported yesterday that a shell-fired by terrorists- struck an election gathering in al-Matar quarter where a lot of children, women and youths thronged embracing  all families of Daraa.

The mortar attack killed and injured many civilians.

Darra governor confirmed that the terrorist crime against the locals of al-Matar quarter will never prevent Syrians from taking part in  June 3rd presidential elections.

Mohammad Khalid Hannous told the State-run Syrian TV channel that the crime has been perpetrated as the Syrian Arab army achieves victories over terrorist groups on all fronts across the country.
