Terrorists fire mortars and rockets on Damascus and its suburb

DAMASCUS,(ST)_At least 2 persons were hurt when 6 mortar shells landed in Daheyet Harasta suburb and Ma’arona town in Damascus countryside, a police command source declared on Friday.

The source said that terrorist organizations fired a mortar shell on Daheyet Harsta suburb, wounding one person and causing damage to several homes.

Another person was wounded when 5 mortar shells hit Maarona town on Tal-Ma’araba road.

The 5 mortar shells were fire by terrorist organizations holed up in Duma suburb north-east of Damascus.

Meanwhile, local social media said that several Katyusha rockets and mortar shells hit quarters of al-Amara, al-Qassa’a, al-Zablatani, Mazzeh 86, Dwela’a, al-Sena’a and on the outskirts of the Omayyad Mosque and Baghdad Street in Damascus, killing 11 persons and wounding 30others.

The US, France, Britain, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Israel support terrorist organizations, which include the so-called the ‘armed moderate opposition’, in Syria, according to world media reports.
