Terrorists Blast Shrine in Hama and Explosive Device on Damascus-Homs Highway

DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE,(ST)_At least two civilians have been wounded by detonation of an explosive device on Damascus-Homs highway, a police command source declared on Saturday.

The source was quoted on the official news agency as saying that terrorists detonated an explosive device they had planted on Damascus-Homs highway near the ‘Rahmeh’ fuel station in Duma area outside Damascus.

Two civilians inside a car were wounded by the blast, the source said.

Duma area has witnessed repeated terrorist attacks against civilians.

Ten days ago, a child was wounded when a terrorist sniper opened fire at a bus picking up civilians there.

Tomb of Sheikh al-Jilani

On the other hand, an armed terrorist group blasted yesterday the tomb of Sheikh Abdulqader al-Jilani in Kherbet Zienab town in the eastern countryside of al-Salameyeh in Hama province after booby trapping it.

A police command source in Hama province told the official news agency that the terrorist group chained a civilian and his son to the shrine before blasting it. 

The civilian and his son were martyred by the blast which caused damages to civilians’ houses in Kherbet Zienab town.
