Terrorists attacked al- Medaan, Qaboon, Electricity Stations

DAMASCUS, (ST) _ Terrorists on Monday evening attacked “Medaan 2 high-voltage” electricity converter station, resulted in significant damage at the plant and power outages in many areas of Damascus and its countryside.

A source in the Ministry of Electricity told SANA that the terrorist attack caused electricity interruption in al-Qadam, Housh Blas, Sahnaya, al-Sbieneh amd al-Hajar al-Aswad areas that are fed by the station.

The source added that the terrorists also targeted the high-voltage line that feeds “Kaboon 2” electricity transfer station “Kabon 2” and this led to power outages in several areas, to the east of Damascus.

The Ministry’s maintenance and repair workshops are working to repair the damage to restore electricity to all affected areas very soon, the source noted.
