Terrorists Assassinate Imam in Dmeir Town outside Damascus
PROVINCES,(ST)_An armed terrorist group assassinated yesterday night the Imam of the ‘al-Sahabeh’ Mosque, Sheikh Ali al-Sief, in Dmeir town outside Damascus.
The terrorists stormed the mosque during Tarawih prayer [nightly Ramadan prayer] and opened fire at the Imam, the official news agency (SANA) reported.
The Imam was martyred instantly.
Last January, an armed terrorist group from the so-called the ‘Islam’ brigade assassinated the Imam of the ‘al-Bashir’ Mosque, Sheikh Firas Krizan, in Jeroud area in al-Qalamon outside Damascus.
Another terrorist attack ripped through Der Ezzour province yesterday when mortar shells hit a house in al-Rewwad quarter.
Three children were martyred and their mother was seriously wounded by the mortar attack.
