Terrorist organizations acknowledge no borders, underscored H.E. President Al-Assad

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Terrorist organizations acknowledge no borders, underscored H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad.

Receiving a French delegation, comprising Parliament members, Intellectuals and Media personnel here Saturday, Bashar Al-Assad asserted that the terrorist attacks against Paris can never be separated from what recently has happened in Beirut nor from what has been taking place in Syria for 5 years as well as from what happens in other regions.

Terrorism  is but one field worldwide, added H.E. President Al-Assad, asserting that the wrong policies pursued by Western countries, particularly by France, regarding the ongoing in our region, not to mention their turned blind eyes to the backing of some of their allies to terrorists, are very responsible to the mushrooming of terrorism.

H.E. President Al-Assad cited the importance for the adoption of new policies and active measures as to halt the backing of terrorists politically and logistically for the elimination of terrorism.

The French delegation, chaired by the French National Assembly, Thierry Mariani, asserted that the terrorist aggressions targeting France last night prove that there is no State immune to terrorism.

The delegation members expressed their belief in the importance of the rallying of the efforts of all regional and international sides as to fight and stop the proliferation of terrorism and its dangerous risks against the region people and the world.

Members of the delegation expressed their sympathy with the suffering of the Syrian People who are exposed to a fierce terrorist war and asserted their keenness on conveying the reality of what they have witnessed during their visit to France in contribution to the formation of a French public opinion, based on facts and not on the false image transmitted before regarding the crisis in Syria.

His Excellency President Al-Assad offered condolences to the bereaved French families who lost dear persons  yesterday, asserting that we are close to the people and understand such a situation because we have suffered from this kind of terrorism for the last five years.

“We have warned three years ago from what would take place in Europe and said that the fault line in Syria should not be played with , because the aftermath consequences would be worldwide. Unfortunately, the European officials paid no heed to what we have been saying! They even claimed that we were threatening  them by saying this!” said H.E. President Al-Assad.

“They, further, did not learn from Charlie Hebdo attack. The mere echoing of statements that they were against terrorism are meaningless; they have to fight terrorism and to follow correct policies,” added H.E. President Al-Assad.

“We are ready to cooperate with any serious side as to fight terrorism,” added President Al-Assad pointing out that the French Government is not yet serious.

In reply to another question regarding a message to be conveyed to French Hollande of France, H.E. President Al-Assad said the message is that he should work for the interest of his people and accordingly change his policies, pointing out that Mr. Hollande’s policies have yielded no fruits to the French during the past 5 years.

Intelligence cooperation with France can never take place without political cooperation, underscored President Al-Assad.

On October 28, 2015, H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad asserted the necessity for tackling the phenomenon of terrorism and extremist thinking as a global issue where no borders can stand before its proliferation.

Many countries in the region and Western Countries, including France, are still supporting terrorism and providing political cover for the terrorist organizations in Syria, underscored President Al-Assad here Wednesday.

Receiving Mr. Jean-Frederic Poisson, member of the National Assembly of France and Chairman of the Christian Democratic Party, H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad cited the importance of a role by French Institution, on top by the French Parliament, as to correct the policies of their present Government, as to work for the security and stability of our region, which is but to be in the interest of the French People.

The main cause for the sufferings of the Syrian People is terrorism first and its consequences of destruction for scores of fundamental infrastructures, and the second cause is the sanctions imposed on Syria, which negatively affect the citizens life conditions and services, especially health services, President Al-Assad added.

Members of the visiting Parliamentarian French delegation asserted the importance of the rallying of efforts in fighting terrorism, expressing their belief in the need for new policies regarding the war in Syria, especially that the Western policies have so far achieved nothing as to end this war.

The French delegation members asserted that as parliamentarian, they would spare no efforts as to make changes in these policies to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian People.

The conditions in the region in light of the ongoing war of terrorism and the threats of terrorism and extremism against the region countries and scores of world countries were focused at during the meeting.

On July 12, 2015, Mr. Jean-Frederic Poisson, member of the National Assembly of France and Chairman of the Christian Democratic Party, underscored  that the stability in Syria is to be positively reflected on the region stability as well as on stability in Europe,

Received by H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad, Mr. Poisson asserted that such a stability would never be achieved but through supporting the Syrian State and dialogue with President Al-Assad as to solve the crisis in Syria and in parallel with the fighting against terrorism.

The French veteran Parliamentarian underlined the necessity of cooperation with the Syrian Government as to eliminate terrorism and limit its risks.

H. E. President Al-Assad reiterated during the meeting the importance of the role played by wise Parliamentarians and Politicians in France and Europe in general in correcting Western policies towards Syria and the region.

Such Western policies have been proved as a failure contributing to the expansion and proliferation of terrorism, reaching to European States, because they paid no heed to the region people’s demands, interference in the region domestic affairs, and because they pursued double standards in fighting terrorism, H.E. President Assad pointed out.

President Assad spoke during the meeting about the war waged by the Syrian People against the terrorist organizations, backed by regional and European countries, and about the risks of this very terrorism against the region stability as well as of Europe stability in general.

MP Poisson stated that the crisis in Syria could not be solved through the EU or the West in general nor by the US without talking with President Bashar Al-Assad.

MP Poisson referred to the disinformation and misleading the European people are being subjected to in regard to the nature of the events taking place in Syria.
