Terrorist groups of ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra hit, positions and vehicles destroyed

Provinces – After recent gains over the past two days several areas in Aleppo and Homs came under the army’s control, the army units continued on Tuesday operations against ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra positions in these and other provinces, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists’ ranks, SANA reported.

Homs

The army’s air force launched intensive strikes against sites and movements of ISIS terrorists to the southwest of Palmyra city in the eastern countryside of Homs.

 

A military source said an ISIS position was destroyed and terrorists were killed or injured in the airstrikes.

Several vehicles, some equipped with machine guns, and a number of ISIS fortifications were hit in army airstrikes to the west of Tall Amri village in the northeastern countryside of Homs.

Many terrorists were reported killed due to the strikes, according to the source.

In the course of the military operation launched two days ago in the eastern countryside of Homs, the army, backed by the popular defense groups, restored security to the villages of Mseieed, al-Msheirfeh al-Shamaliyeh and al-Salehiyeh and established control over Rajm al-Taweel, Ard Kreiz and Point 802 to the east of Jeb al-Jarrah town.

Daraa

An army unit targeted dens and fortifications of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa province.

The army’s operations resulted in killing most members of a terrorist group affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra that were doing fortification works to the south of the Electricity Company, in addition to destroying a vehicle for the terrorists.

Quneitra

In the neighboring Quneitra province, an army unit hit gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists positioned between

Ufania and al-Hamidiyeh villages in Abu Shatta area in the countryside, killing and injuring many of them and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
