Terrorist groups breach cessation of hostilities six more times in Damascus and Lattakia

Lattakia – The Hmeimim-based Russian center monitoring the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria announced that over the past 24 hours, the terrorist groups breached the agreement 6 more times in the provinces of Damascus and Lattakia, SANA reported.

The center added in a statement that terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” attacked with mortar shells a number of towns and areas in Damascus, while terrorist groups linked to the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham” shelled a number of towns in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

The center indicated that Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS terrorist organizations are continuing their attempts to undermine the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria, shelling several towns and neighborhoods in Aleppo and its countryside.

Five new towns in Homs province have joined the agreement, raising the total number of towns and areas to 481, according to the center.

The cessation of hostilities agreement doesn’t include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
