Terrorist groups breach cessation of hostilities agreement 12 new times in Damascus and Lattakia

Lattakia – The Hmeimim-based Russian Coordination Center monitoring the cessation of hostilities agreement on Monday announced that over the past 24 hours, terrorist groups in Damascus and Lattakia breached the agreement 12 times, SANA reported.

The Center added in a statement that terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” attacked with mortar shells a number of towns in the Eastern Ghouta in Damascus Countryside, while a terrorist group linked to the so-called “Ahrar al-Cham” shelled a number of towns and villages in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

 

The Center indicated that the Russian warplanes have never carried out any airstrikes against the armed groups which announced that they joined the cessation of hostilities agreement.

Five new towns have joined the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria over the past 24 hours, as the total number of the Syrian towns which have joined the agreement reached 486, according to the center.

The cessation of hostilities agreement doesn’t include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
