Terrorist groups breach cessation of hostilities 6 new times in Damascus and Lattakia countryside

Lattakia – The Hmeimim-based Russian Coordination Center monitoring the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria announced that over the past 24 hours, terrorist groups breached the agreement 6 new times in Damascus Countryside and Lattakia, SANA reported.

The center added in a statement that terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” attacked with mortar shells a number of areas in Damascus Countryside, while terrorists of the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” shelled the village of Ain al-Ashara in Lattakia province.

 

The center pointed out that agreement was reached over the past 24 hours with representatives of 6 towns, four of which in Lattakia province, and two in Homs province, raising the total number of the towns which have so far joined the agreement to 569.

The total number of the breaches of the cessation of hostilities agreement by the terrorist groups reached 1159 since the agreement came into force on February 27th.

The cessation of hostilities agreement doesn’t include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra or other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
