Terrorist explosions, desperate attempt to cover humiliating defeat

Over the past five years, the terrorist groups have been trying to cover their humiliating defeats at the hands of the Syrian Arab army through perpetrating heinous crimes against innocent civilians.

The barbaric terrorist bombings that targeted Tartous countryside, Damascus Countryside, Homs city, and Hasaka city two weeks ago and claimed the lives of scores of innocent civilians are part of the desperate efforts of terrorist organizations and the states supporting them to undermine the Syrian people’s steadfastness and determination to eliminate terrorism and restore security and stability to Syria.

The attacks show the terrorists’ frustration over the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army and over the reconciliations being carried out in the country. The bombings constitute a trivial attempt to make up for the defeats terrorists are suffering at the hands of the Syrian Arab Army, the most recent of which being establishing control over the military academies area and other neighborhoods in the city of  Aleppo.

The states that fund and support terrorist organizations are responsible for the attacks, and those who attempt to destabilize the security of Syria and its people will be punished by the Syrian people. These cowardly acts constitute an attempt to make up for the consecutive losses the terrorists are suffering at the hands of the Syrian Arab Army.

The terrorist bombings are an expression of the hatred and Takfiri mentality that is trying to destroy Syria.

Those who support, arm, fund, and train terrorists and open their borders to them are responsible for these heinous crimes.

These bombings are a sign of desperation on the part of the terrorists who are backed by Turkey, Arab and Western states, and Israel. These bombings prove that the terrorists’ only goal is to murder people and show that they are mere pawns in the hands of Arab Gulf and Western states that serve Israel.

From Tartous to Homs, Damascus and Hasaka, criminality spreads to sow death and destruction and to show the volume of brutality stored in the hearts of the terrorists who are targeting and killing civilians without any reason other than the desire to spread fear and satisfy their insatiable appetite for blood without a shred of religion or conscience.

The terrorist, bloody explosions which took place are a continuation of the systemized terrorism practiced by the terrorist organizations. The Security Council should take punitive and deterrent procedures against the countries which support terrorism, particularly Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar and France and forcing them to carry out the rules of relevant resolutions No. 2170, 2178, 2199 and 2253.

Those terrorist bloody explosions come as a continuation of the systemized terrorism perpetrated by terrorist organizations, like Fatah al-Sham, previously Jabhat al-Nusra, Jaish al-Fatah, Ahrar al-Sham and many others, these organizations which some members states name as –moderate armed groups-away from the spirit of the UN charter and rules.

Targeting the civilians by the Takfiri terrorists and their Wahhabi backers is evidence on their defeat and the failure of their sinister political dreams in the region which resulted in the repetition of such horrific crimes and tragic scenes in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

Those terrorist crimes and massacres will not affect the stance of Syrian people in performing its legal and moral duties in combating terrorism or working to achieve a political solution to the crisis in Syria through a Syrian-Syrian dialogue and under a Syrian leadership, this solution that paves the way for overcoming terrorism and going ahead in reconstructing what has been destroyed by terrorists.

The international circles and the international community mustn’t remain silent regarding those who are involved in such crimes and they must shoulder their historic, legal and humanitarian responsibility in combating the Takfiri terrorism. All forces that love peace and oppose war should take a unified position against terrorism. This new wave of bombings will not daunt the Syrian people; rather they will make Syrians more determined to fight terrorism. Syria will remain impervious to terrorism.
