Terrorist car bomb kills 17 women and kids

Provinces, (ST)- A terrorist car bomb explosion on Thursday rocked Salamiyeh area in the countryside of Hama, claiming the lives of 17 civilians.

 Women and children were among the dead in the blast.

“the terrorist blast hit near a school in al-Kafat town and caused the martyrdom of 17  and 30 others were  in critical conditions, “a source at the Police Command in Hama told the state-run news agency.

The injured people, the source added, were transported to Salamiyeh Hospital and a number of other hospitals in Hama.

The official news agency reporter  said the terrorist bombing caused huge material damage to tens of houses and cars and sabotaged infrastructure in the town.

Meanwhile, a girl was martyred in a terrorist rocket attack on al-Baath neighborhood in the city of Hama, according to a military source.

” a number of rocket shells fired by terrorists smashed into citizens’ houses in al-Baath neighborhood, causing the girl child’s martyrdom and great material damage to the citizens’ houses and properties,”said the official news agency reporter.

Elsewhere, a citizen was martyred and others were injured in rocket and mortar attacks on a number of neighborhoods in the city,according to an official source.

The source further explained that  terrorists fired a mortar shell on al-Mahatteh neighborhood, killing a citizen and wounding others, in addition to causing material damage in the site.

Terrorists also targeted with mortar and rockets al-Muhajereen neighborhood and the areas of Karm al-Shami and al-Abbassiyeh roundabouts, injuring 13 citizens.

In Damascus Countryside, son of Head of the National Reconciliation Committee in Madaya town got injured in a blast of an explosive device planted by terrorists.

Also, terrorists set ablaze the car of member of the National Reconciliation Committee in Madaya, Mohammad Haidar al-Maleh.
