Terrorist Bombings Rock Lebanese Al-Qaa Village, Claiming Lives of Five People, Wounding Scores

BEIRUT- A new series of terrorist explosions Monday evening rocked the eastern Lebanese village of al-Qaa wounding at least 13 people hours after four suicide bombings targeted the village claiming the lives of five people and wounding 15 others, according to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA).

The wounded were transferred to nearby hospitals, said the agency.

the Lebanese Army Command called upon the locals of al-Qaa village not to gather anywhere in the said region and urged them to abide by the security measures imposed by the army, for their own safety.”

Baalbek-Hermel governor Bachir Khodr issued a curfew in al-Qaa and Ras Baalbek, in the wake of the terrorist blasts.

Hizbollah Condemns Al-Qaa Blasts

Condemning the terrorist attacks, Hezbollah said that this crime, which claimed scores of innocent civilians, is a new product of the terrorist, obscurantist ideology which is plaguing the region and posing a serious danger against its people.

In a statement following the morning blasts, Hezbollah offered deep condolences to the martyrs’ families and hoped for a speedy recovery of the wounded.

This ideology also threatens Lebanon and its people from all the areas, sects and affiliations without discrimination, according to the statement which added that the crime results from a secret and overt support provided by some countries and entities in the region and the world to those murderous terrorists, according to al-Manar TV website.

Those countries provide the terrorist groups with weaponry, equipment, media support, moral embrace and political protection, the statement pointed out.

Hezbollah stressed that this takfiri ideology must be fought forcefully, detected and exposed in order to frustrate its plans and block its expansion as well as pervasion.

This contradicts with what is done by some Lebanese politicians and their entourage whose misleading stances conceal the malevolent ideas of the terrorists and justify their atrocities, Hezbollah noted.
