SADCOP governmental fuel station in Quneitra governorate on Thursday was targeted by a terrorist attack that caused material damage and put the station out of service.
The Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources stated: The attack on the government-run Sadcop station was intended for theft, and resulted in damage to the petrol and diesel pumps, as well as some collateral damage.
In turn, the director of the station, Eng. Salman Murshed, said in a press statement: The station was attacked at two o’clock after midnight by terrorists who detonated an explosive device in it, following confrontations with the workers, causing material damage to the station.
Murshed pointed out that the station is the only governmental station in the Quneitra governorate, and it prpvides services to the citizens and government departments there, indicating that damages and malfunctions are currently being assesed in order to start repairation works.
