Terrorist attack on Aleppo security headquarters foiled

PROVINCES,(ST)_The Syrian Arab Army continues confronting foreign-backed terrorist groups in different areas across Syria.

Units of armed forces repelled on Sunday two suicide terrorists’ bid to explode a booby-trapped car in one of the security headquarters in Aleppo city.

 An official source told SANA: “soldiers intercepted the booby-trapped car, which was 500 meters away from the security headquarter, and killed one of the terrorists inside it while the other one blasted the car wounding several citizens at the scene.”

The Syrian TV channel reporter, Shadi Helwi, and two cameramen were among the wounded.

In the same province, units of armed forces carried out qualitative operations against terrorists and killing  and injuring a lot of them. Terrorists’ vehicles were also destroyed.

12 terrorists killed

Elsewhere, several terrorists’ hideouts were reportedly shelled in countryside of Aleppo, Idleb, Homs, Lattakia, and Damascus.

At least 12 terrorists were eliminated in al-Nabk and Darayya areas in Damascus countryside, according to SANA.

In addition, fighting raged between armed forces in Jesr al-Shogor city in Idleb countryside and Der Ezzour Province resulted in killing and injuring many terrorists.

Syrian-Lebanese border

As for current situation on Syrian-Lebanese border, Damascus-based al-Watan newspaper quoted the Iranian al-Alam TV. channel as saying that gunmen launched two rockets on al-Qaser and Sahlat al-Meyah in the Lebanese al-Hermel area. 

Mortar shells shake Jaramana garage

In another incident, four citizens were martyred and 20 others wounded when terrorists fired three mortar shells on Bulman garage in Jarammana suburb in Damascus countryside.

According to a source at the Police Leadership, the first shell landed inside the garage while the other two ones landed in a mini-bus claiming lives of four citizens and wounding more than 20 others.

Syria is in a state of war and its army is doing its duty as regard defending homeland and citizens, and fighting terrorist groups to restore stability and security to the country.

The terrorist groups, who are exported from 40 countries, perpetrate heinous crimes against citizens and destroy the country’s infrastructure, are funded and supported by Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France, and the US.
