Terrorism seeks to fragment nation, says Mufti

The Grand Mufti of the Syrian Arab Republic has called on Muslim peoples to follow Islam values in order to protect human being, land’s unity and environment safety.

Sheikh Ahmad Badreddin Hasson said that Prophet Mohammad [Peace Be Upon Him] unified the nation after it was fragments, adding  that terrorism has come to bring the nation back to fragments.

The Mufti stressed, in a speech he delivered before Friday prayer on the occasion of the birthday of the Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] in Tehran, that real science lead to contruction and not to destruction.

He compared between the western technology, which is being used to kill people, and the Iranian one, which is being used to heal people.

Sheikh Hasson, who is visiting Tehran to take part in the 28th session of the Islamic Unity Conference, highly appreciated Iran’s support for Syrian people in confronting terrorism.

The conference was kicked off on Wednesday with participation of more than 400 scholars representing 65 countries.
