“Terrorism in the Light of International Law” Symposium Urges Prosecution of Terrorism Supporters, Condemns Foreign Interference in Syria
DAMASCUS, (ST)-The countries which have been supporting terrorism in Syria should be prosecuted for their crimes against the Syrian people in accordance with international laws, according to participants of the Symposium titled “Terrorism in the Light of International Law” which concluded its activities yesterday in Damascus.
In their communiqué, the participants of the one-day symposium, which was organized by the Syrian Civil Commission for Victims of Violence and Terrorism, condemned the blatant intervention of the Syrian people’s enemies in Syria’s internal affairs, stressing that such an intervention violates international law conventions as well as countries’ sovereignty.
They criticized the destructive role being played by the countries supporting, sponsoring and financing terrorism, mainly the United States, France, Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
The sacrifices and heroic deeds of the Syrian Arab Army in defense of the homeland’s unity and in the confrontation of the Wahhabi terrorist organizations were the source of the participants’ great appreciation and pride.
The participants also hailed the steadfastness of the Syrian people, army and leadership in the face of the most heinous colonialist aggression ever known.
