Terrorism has no Boundaries

After the terrorist events in Paris, the Security Council has quickly met and unanimously issued a resolution authorizing the fight against terrorist organizations, especially Daesh and its sisters by all means possible.

Of course the Security Council had completely ignored mentioning the role of the Syrian army and the resistance in their confrontation of terrorism which strikes Syria for the past five years.

But the matter that requires  a lot of attention here is that the terrorism that took place in Syria and Iraq did not make the Security Council to move quickly as it did when terrorism struck  Europe especially France.

This proves the fact that the West is dealing with a clear double standard with the terrorist acts in Syria and Iraq, and it does not move seriously except when it suffers from terrorism.

In fact, this reflects the moral crisis of some Western leaders as their stances are but to maintain interests in the region.

Besides, the Western powers do not apply pressure on Turkey, the main logistic base for terrorist groups, as to close its borders in the face of terrorists except when terrorism entered their countries.

On the other hand, the US, the West powers and their regional allies ignored the victories achieved by the Syrian Army and the resistance and the sacrifices made by the two sides in the battle against terrorism.

It is crystal clear that the US and the Western countries may take serious and practical steps to confront terrorism in one case, when terrorism threatens their interests.

Thus, the countries that suffer from terrorism should make a real military, political, media and security front to face terrorism. This is confirmed by Russia in the steps taken to resolve the crisis in Syria.
