Tehran, (ST) – Iran has renewed its call for a peaceful solution to the crisis in Yemen, stressing that putting an end to the aggression and lifting the blockade imposed by the coalition led by the Saudi regime will pave the way for ending the disaster that the Yemenis are living through .This will happen only through dialogue between the various Yemeni parties.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that “Tehran supports any peace plan based on ending the aggression and occupation, the ceasefire and lifting the economic blockade imposed on Yemen,” pointing out that since the outbreak of this war, Tehran has affirmed that there is no military solution to the Yemeni crisis.
The statement added that, “we support Yemenis’ right to decide their future in their country without any foreign intervention. It said that some countries continue to provide support to the Saudi regime in its aggression, which means that these countries are participants in Saudi regime’s crimes against the Yemeni people.
The Saudi regime has continued its aggression against the Yemeni people since March of 2015, leaving tens of thousands of victims and massive destruction of the country’s infrastructure.
