Tehran: Coercive measures against Syria are illegal and must be lifted immediately

Tehran (ST): Iran renewed its support for Syria in confrontation of the unilateral coercive measures being imposed by the US and other Western states, affirming that these measures are illegal and non-humanitarian and they must be cancelled immediately.
The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Abbas Musawi condemned in a statement, quoted by Irna news agency, the tightening of these measures, stressing that they are illegal and run contrary to human principles. He added that the unilateral measures are an inhuman tool of pressure that targets Syrian people’s livelihood and endangers human rights.
Musawi pointed out that Iran has always been supporting Syrian people and government, calling for immediately lifting these illegal measures to enable the Syrians to ensure their basic needs and rebuild what has been destroyed by western-backed terrorism.
