Tehran: “Caesar Act” is economic terrorism and Iran will continue to strengthen its relations with Syria
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that the unilateral US coercive measures imposed on Syria, especially the so-called “Caesar Act”, constitute a violation of international law and human rights.
“Iran will continue to strengthen its economic relations with Syria despite these measures.”, the Ministry confirmed.
“These inhumane sanctions in light of the spread of the Coronavirus exacerbate the suffering of the Syrian people,” Fares News Agency quoted the Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi as saying today, adding that Iran does not care about such unjust and unilateral sanctions that come within the framework of economic terrorism imposed on the Syrians to destabilize their country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed on Wednesday that the first package of American measures against Syria in implementation of the so-called “Caesar Act” reveals the American administration’s violation of all international laws and norms and the level to which this administration’s officials descended. The Ministry also stressed that the Syrian people and their valiant army will not allow criminal officials of the White House to revive their vanquished project.
